New appointments in AXA IM Core Investments’ Product and Client strategy team

AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) today announces the appointment of Nicolas Deschamps as Global Head of Product and Client Strategy at AXA IM Core, already effective.

Based in Paris, Nicolas reports to Hans Stoter, Global Head of AXA IM Core and member of the AXA IM’s Management Board.

Nicolas joined AXA IM in 2005 as Senior Sales Manager for Wholesale clients. Since then, he held various positions in the company as well as at AXA France, where he was heading the development of the Life and Wealth Management business, and at AXA IM Select as Global Head of Client Group. In his new role, Nicolas heads the product strategy and development for Core investments, the global marketing and the investment specialists team. The AXA IM Investment Institute also falls within his remit.

Jane Wadia is appointed Head of Sustainability, Core Products & Clients and will be responsible for leading AXA IM Core’s sustainable product strategy and external representation, effective immediately.

Based in London, Jane reports to Nicolas Deschamps.

In this newly created role, Jane engages with clients on sustainability topics and works with teams across AXA IM to ensure that AXA IM Core’s investment capabilities reflect clients responsible investment’s (RI) needs. Jane is also responsible for defining the RI product framework and is a key stakeholder in shaping the overall RI priorities for the AXA IM Core business. She works closely with Thomas Coudert who leads sustainability for the Core investment teams¹.

Biographies

Nicolas Deschamps

Nicolas Deschamps is Global Head of Product & Client Strategy. As such, he is in charge of defining and implementing AXA IM Core product and marketing strategy. In his role, he is leading expert market intelligence teams and investment specialists to promote our investment platforms to clients in partnership with distribution. He oversees AXA IM Core Product & Seed committees to define and monitor seed initiatives. He also oversees the CIO office to further develop the capabilities of the Investment Institute, and help formulate our “house view” on investment strategies. ​
​Previously Nicolas, was Global Head of Client Group of AXA IM Select, the Multi Management and Wealth Management platform of AXA IM, in charge of Distribution, Marketing and Offer design. ​
​Nicolas has held various distribution and marketing functions in the AXA Group since 2001. ​
​Nicolas graduated from ESSEC Business School.

Jane Wadia
​Jane is Head of Sustainability, Core Products & Clients. Her responsibilities include engaging with our clients on sustainability topics and working with teams across AXA IM to ensure that our investment capabilities reflect the needs of our clients with regards to Responsible Investing. ​
​From 2020 to 2023, Jane was Head of Investment Specialists & RFPs for AXA IM Core, with a focus on responsible investing. The Investment Specialist team represents our fixed income, equity, multi asset strategies and solutions externally and provides investment content, working in close partnership with Investment and Client Group teams.
​Prior to this, Jane spent 17 years working within our quantitative equity investment team (EQI) team, where she joined as a portfolio manager in 2003 and became Global Head of Client Portfolio Management in 2010. In 2017, her role expanded to include driving the overall product strategy and investment offering, notably in terms of responsible investing. Before moving to the Equity QI team, Jane was a portfolio manager in the Paris based Multi-Asset team.
